Claudio pepper - popular sweet

Pepper is one of the favorite vegetable crops on the tables of Russians, Christopher Columbus should be thanked for this. It was he who brought this culture to Europe.

There are many varieties of pepper in the world - bitter, sweet, spicy, the degree of bitterness of which directly depends on the content of the alkaloid capsaicin. Claudio sweet peppers contain a minimum amount of this substance, and therefore may not be cooked and consumed fresh.

"Cruel" brethren are consumed mainly in pods and ground form - it is an excellent spice for hot dishes and canned food, in addition, hot pepper has long been used as an ingredient for drugs against sciatica and malaria.

The value of sweet pepper is in its vitamins, especially in the amount of ascorbic acid and rutin. Essential oils give sweet pepper a unique aroma.

In the last two decades in Russia, pepper has become almost as popular as tomato, but it is easier to care for this crop, since it does not require tying and pinching.

Claudio's fruits are fleshy (wall thickness from 8 to 14 mm), cuboid, the weight of the "pod" can reach 250g, are resistant to burns, diseases, have high transport properties, retain their taste and appearance for a long time.
