The bamboo is placed in a long vase, fixed with decorative pebbles and covered with water. Periodically, once a week, the water must be changed, and the contents of the vase are thoroughly rinsed. For better plant growth, add a few drops of diluted mineral fertilizers or special fertilizersintended for aquarium plants.

2. In an ordinary pot of soil. The soil any plant that you can dig up in the park or garden is suitable for planting, but you can buy a ready-made substrate for home plants in the store. From the aggressive action of sunlight, bamboo leaves turn yellow, and it loses its special appeal. Choose a location where the lighting is moderate and diffuse.

The native habitat of bamboo is rainforest and therefore it loves a warm climate and sufficient moisture. For him, the optimal temperature regime in the room is 16-22 degrees Celsius. The room needs to be ventilated - fresh air is essential for bamboo to grow.

Timely wateringsince lacking moisture, bamboo may die. To create an additional humid microclimate, plant leaves are sprayed or wiped with a wet sponge.In winter, watering the plants is significantly reduced and is carried out only when the soil layer dries out.

Bamboo is propagated, like most houseplants, in early spring. The easiest way to reproduce bamboo is by dividing the stem, which is cut into several pieces. So that the cut parts of the plant do not dry out, the sections must be treated with soft wax. Each part of the stem is placed in water to form roots. After 2.5 or 3 weeks, roots appear and the plant can be planted in a pot.

Another breeding method is planting the upper cuttings cut from the mother plant. The cuttings are placed in water where they take root and then planted in soil. The cut off part of the adult stem is processed so that the plant does not dry out and die.

You can propagate bamboo with side shoots. Shoots are cut when they are still young. They are placed in water or planted in light soil. If the shoots are planted immediately in the ground, make sure that the ground does not dry out. Sufficient moisture will enable the plant to take root and grow stronger faster.
