Nasturtium on the balcony

The ideal option for a flower garden is Nasturtium on the balcony. Its root system is shallow and weakly branched. For cultivation, it is necessary to select containers that are wide and not deep. Depths of 15 cm are sufficient. Nasturtium loves light very much and does not tolerate drought, so it needs the brightest place on the balcony and daily watering.

Nasturtium has one peculiarity. If the soil is too fertilized, there will be more leaves than flowers. On poorer soil, Nasturtium will bloom superbly. She does not tolerate organic fertilizers and may die.

The landing of Nasturtium takes place in May. Holes are dug up to a depth of 10 cm, the distance between them should also be 10 cm. The seeds are pre-soaked overnight. 3-4 seeds are laid in each groove, and covered with earth. After sowing, the seeds germinate in a week. Flowering begins 60 days after germination.

Nasturtium on the balcony looks just fine. It can be planted as a stand-alone plant, or it can be used to fill gaps between other large flowers. It will look amazing. If the nasturtium flower died for any reason, then feel free to plant a new one in its place.

You can plant Nasturtium between May and September. You can't wait for flowers, but the leaves will give you their freshness and coolness. If the side where your balcony goes out is constantly blown by the wind and there are doubts about the possibility of planting Nasturtium, then feel free to plant it.
