Bloody cineraria. Growing and care
Bloody cineraria (another name for bloody groundwort) is a plant that cannot leave anyone indifferent to itself - a variety of colors (white, blue, pink, purple, red, crimson) and a unique aroma fascinate and delight.
Tseraria blooms in October-November, its inflorescences are flowers in umbrellas, which make up a whole shield, towering above the leaves and petioles. The leaves, by the way, are also special - heart-shaped with ragged edges and an ashy shade on the underside. The flowers resemble daisies, only multi-colored.
Growing and caring for bloody cineraria
The plant does not tolerate direct sunlight and high temperatures, the optimal conditions for it are temperatures up to 15 degrees and high soil moisture, therefore it is necessary to frequently and regularly water and spray (preferably with warm and settled water).
Cineraria should be fed a month before its flowering, using fertilizers for flowering plants.
With good care, the plant can grow up to 60 cm.
Reproduction of bloody cineraria
After the cineraria has faded, it is usually thrown away, since it is quite difficult to preserve the plant, but growing a new one is not particularly difficult. To do this, at the end of May, sow seeds in nutritious loose soil, lightly sprinkle with sifted earth and keep at a temperature of about 22 degrees. When the cotyledon leaves appear, dive.
But most often, cireraria are bought in the fall in flower shops, already grown, and all winter and spring you can enjoy tt lush flowering.
