Soil for violets is the key to successful plant cultivation
Properly selected soil is of particular importance in caring for indoor plants, because many plants require a special composition of the soil in which it grows, acidity and even density. That is why, if a plant does not feel well, then you should first of all pay attention to the composition and condition of the soil of such a plant, and only then trace all the conditions of detention.
Many flower growers have violets, because this is a rather unpretentious houseplant, although the soil for violets must also be correctly selected. It is important that the soil for the violets is airy. Most often, a universal substrate is used for violets, to which useful minerals, special for violets, are added - vermiculite and perlite. In addition, sphangum moss is often added to the ground to grow violets. Very often sand is added to the soil for violets, but for this plant it is advisable to select coarse sand, which is washed well before adding to the soil.
Soil for violets should retain moisture well, which is facilitated by all of the above additives.
The acidity of the earth is also very important for violets. It is desirable that it be at the level of 5.5-6.5 PH.
It should also be borne in mind that for young violets, a special substrate for seedlings is best suited, but for adult plants, you can also use a regular substrate with the above qualities for flowering plants.
To prevent the soil of the violets from clogging up after watering, it is recommended to water the violets with small portions of water, waiting for each of them to be absorbed into the ground.
And I heard that violets prefer bottom watering. As for the soil, I buy it a ready-made mixture, which is intended for this indoor plant.
