How to grow beans?

  1. Bean seeds and dry beans should be taken. Sort them out. Remove debris, pebbles, mold and bad beans.
  2. Beans can be planted either directly in the ground at once or after germinating. If you plan to plant beans directly in your garden, be sure to rinse the seeds thoroughly. And then dry them thoroughly. In order for the beans to germinate, you need to take a small tray. Place wet wipes or gauze there. Beans are laid out. Next, it is covered with another layer of towel or gauze on top and sprinkled with water a little. The cloths should be well soaked, but not too wet. If there is too much water, the beans will start to rot. The beans won't need a lot of space, so spread them out evenly.
  3. Sowing beans on the garden bed should be when the ground is already well warmed up. At least up to 10 degrees Celsius. It is necessary to plant it to a depth of no more than 5-6 centimeters. The beans should be down that edge, from which the roots will then be.
  4. Although beans are not considered a whimsical plant, they grow on ordinary or slightly acidic soil. And also there should be no drafts and strong winds in such areas. It is necessary to sow or transplant sprouts at a distance of 20 centimeters from each other. If you want to plant the beans in rows, then the distance should not be less than half a meter.
  5. In areas where groundwater is located very close to the fertile layer, then the beans must be planted on the ridges. And if the ground is good and warm, then you can plant it just like that.
  6. Distinguish between bush beans, curly and semi-curling beans. Bush beans stretch up to 70 centimeters and do not need to be tied or propped up. It is enough to land it in a checkerboard pattern, and it will not take up much space. For others, support is necessary. Pegs, slats, or decorative fixtures can be used. Curly and semi-curling beans look beautiful on fences and on a netting.
  7. Special care for the beans is not required. Only it is necessary to weed during weeding, loosen the ground and water during heat and drought. It is also important that the beans are not planted in the same place. Bean rhizomes remain in the soil, as they supply the soil with nitrogen and humus very well. She is very fond of calcium. To do this, in the fall, in the place where you will plant beans, add lime and gypsum.

We did an experiment somehow. We planted sprouted beans in one area, and dry beans in the second. We got off with a difference of 4 days. But the yield was much better in dry beans. Why this is so, we still do not know. But the germination of beans only affects the period of their emergence.
