Alpine violet - cyclamen
A small plant whose flowers look like butterflies sitting on the stems of the plant itself is known to everyone as cyclamen. In fact, this is a primrose plant that regularly blooms annually with a lush bush of inflorescences. In another way, this plant is called alpine violet. And since the days of Ancient Rome, cyclamen has been grown together with violets and daffodils.
Alpine violet looks very decorative on flower beds and personal plots. To grow cyclamen indoors, use a different plant variety. At the same time, alpine violet grows much better outdoors.
The garden cyclamen is quite small and its flowers are also not large - only 2.5 cm in diameter.
Cyclamen looks very beautiful in any interior, they are used for landscape design, and also decorate verandas and patios with them. The alpine violet looks especially beautiful on the alpine slides. If you plant plants next to each other, you get a very beautiful flowering carpet.
Cyclamen care is not easy enough. Particular attention should be paid to light, which should be bright, but diffused and without direct sunlight. It is best to plant it under trees or large plants, which will shade the violet with their leaves.
During the flowering of cyclamen, special attention should be paid to watering, and when the plant blooms, then watering is reduced. The flowering period of the garden alpine violet falls from May to September.
Garden cyclamens can be sown on their own since autumn, or you can buy them ready-made.
