Pine nuts
The cedar tree has always been associated with distant Siberia. But nowadays, cedar can be seen not only in those harsh lands. This tree is successfully propagated and planted in a wide variety of regions. To grow a cedar, a stalk is needed, which is grafted on a pine tree. You can also grow this outlandish tree if you have pine nuts.
Many will ask - why grow cedar. This tree is famous for its fruits, which are rich in vitamins and minerals. Also, in folk medicine, cedar resin is used, as well as the needles of this plant.
It is quite possible to grow this plant from seeds. First of all, you need a cedar cone with seeds. It is in a natural "container" that cedar seeds retain their vitality.
It is best to plant seeds in the ground in the fall (September - October). Before planting seeds, they must be soaked in warm water. The seeds are soaked for 5 days. The waters are preheated to 30 degrees. We change the water with seeds every day.
Next, mix the seeds with river sand. After 2 months, the seeds should hatch. If you do not plant the seeds immediately after they hatch, they must be stored at 0 degrees.
After disembarkation, it is necessary to cover the landing sites in order to protect them from birds. Seeds winter well in the ground, and in spring they will sprout well. The cedar does not require special care, the only thing that in the first years it is necessary to monitor the watering of this tree.
With good care, in a few years you will have a very beautiful tree that will bear fruit full of vitamins. Good luck growing this beautiful tree.
I can't even believe that by planting a cedar from seeds, you can not only grow it, but even wait for the cones. In general, I have repeatedly heard the opinion that cedar bears fruit only in ecologically clean areas, to which not every Russian corner can be ranked.
Of course, there is no certainty that the Siberian cedar will feel normal in our region, nevertheless it is very hot here in the summer, but you still need to look for seeds and try. I would really like to have this beautiful tree in the yard.
