Growing lacfiol and caring for it

Growing lacfiol can take a long time as the plant is considered capricious. But, if you want to achieve a good result, then remember that this is a very sun-loving creature.

The flower grows well in non-acidic loamy drained soils. Moreover, you need to add a complex of fertilizers. Prefer fertile soil with a high lime content.

The lacfiol plant, the cultivation of which is associated with the provision of a water regime, does not tolerate too moist soil.

But on the other hand, it easily reacts to drought, as it is surprisingly cold-resistant. The flower will calmly withstand frosts down to -18 degrees. But it is still better to transplant young plants into boxes or pots for the winter. They will be comfortable in the greenhouse. In such growing conditions, lacfiol should be watered moderately.

Keep in mind that it is not the soil itself that is watered, but the sand on which the containers with the plants are located. This watering is called top watering.

Before choosing a site, pay attention to sufficient lighting. For better branching of the bush, periodically pinch the tops of the shoots. In case of yellowing of some leaves, try to carefully trim them with scissors, and do not cut them off.

The lacfiol flower, whose photo makes you admire its bright yellow, brown-purple and pink blooms, can be amazed by the cruciferous flea.

If you prefer to grow the plant as an annual, then its seeds should be planted directly in your garden beds with the onset of the warmer months of spring (April or May). After 4-5 months of sowing, lacfiol will definitely give its first flowers.
