Amaranth: growing

I saw a beautiful plant with raspberry-colored leaves at the neighbors, and the same plant grew nearby, only with spreading hanging burgundy brushes, but with green leaves. It turned out that both the one and the other beautiful creation of nature is amaranth. Of course, I asked how to grow such a miracle in my summer cottage and a neighbor told me all the possible secrets about amaranth.

A very thermophilic and light-loving amaranth plant, its cultivation must necessarily begin with the choice of the most accessible place for the sun on your site. Be sure to remember that an amaranth can grow a couple of meters in height, especially in a good sunny summer. In addition, it should be noted that he is not afraid of low temperatures. Get ready to water amaranth often and abundantly, it dies without moisture. A neighbor advised me to stock up on nutritious soil for this red-burgundy miracle, so the flower will grow more magnificently and taller.

Prepare the soil in the fall, be sure to add some compost when planting and ash. The main breeding method of amaranth is seed. If your amaranth went from good seeds, growing it will not be difficult.

Seeds begin to germinate at a temperature of 1-4 ° С already, but. Of course, it is better to create ideal conditions, that is - 22 ° C. After all spring frosts with stable heat, when the soil warms up to 15 degrees, these seeds should be sown in open ground. Re-sowing, if necessary, should be carried out approximately two weeks after the first.

Amaranths are large and strong plants, they delight the eye for a long time, look good in any flower beds and resemble ancient Chinese hanging herbaceous shrubs, which brings your garden to the kingdom of the exotic east.
