Agapanthus in the photo just fascinates
Agapanthus in the photo is one of the most beautiful plants native to South Africa. We grow it in tubs and large pots. Peduncles up to 1 meter in length end with an umbrella inflorescence with blue or bluish-purple flowers.
Agapanthus, thanks to its graceful flowers, looks like a complete composition, therefore it is best to form single bouquets from it, not combining with other flowers.
For the lush flowering of agapanthus, certain conditions of detention are necessary: in the cold period, the temperature should be at least +8 degrees. In summer it is advisable to place the plant in a sunny place.
Agapanthus in the photo grows best in garden soil (loam), mixed with soil for growing indoor plants (in a ratio of 1 to 2) with the addition of a small part of sand.
Agapanthus care is simple. The main thing is watering, if possible daily, during the flowering period it is advisable to apply a complex fertilizer once a week. If the plant is a little crowded in a pot, it is best to transplant it. And although after transplanting the number of flowers may decrease, in the future Agapanthus will thank you with more abundant flowering. In winter, the plant is watered to a minimum, but the leaves should not be allowed to dry out. Since the fleshy root begins to rot with excess moisture, it is necessary to avoid its excessive accumulation in the soil.
Propagate Agapanthus in the photo by dividing the rhizome in the spring.
Experienced growers advise in a timely manner to replace a cramped pot with a more spacious one, since its root system is so strong that a cramped pot can easily break.
God, what a miracle! I love such fragile, extraordinary beauty plants! And I have never seen such a plant, but I just fell in love with it! I want such a miracle home!
