Yielding potato varieties - to help gardeners
Potatoes are one of the most commonly grown vegetables in our gardens. Your own potatoes are always tastier, friable than purchased ones.
And, of course, investing remarkable efforts in growing this not quite simple crop, gardeners want to get the maximum yield, healthy tubers with good taste.
Therefore, not a single gardener will refuse to discuss productive varieties of potatoes.
The amount of potatoes harvested can differ depending on the soil on which they are grown.
So, for example, the best yields are shown by the varieties "Nikita", "Detskoselsky", "Rolano" on soils with a predominance of sandy loam and sandy structure.
The clayey soil is favorable for such varieties as "Sineglazka", "Lukyanovsky", "Nevsky", "Rozara", "Istrinsky", "Zarevo", "Labunak", "Gatchinsky".
It should be noted that the desire to get ripe root crops of potatoes faster, that is, to give preference to early ripe varieties, does not always justify itself, although early potatoes are very rich in vitamin C and taste good. The reason for this is the fact that varieties that have enough time for growing and ripening of tubers show high yields.
Therefore, rich harvests can provide mid-season and mid-late varieties.
The most famous among mid-season varieties: "Vestnik", "Bronnitsky", "Gatchinsky", "Sineglazka", "Golubizna", "Chugunka", "Desiree", "Malachite", "Stolovy 19", "Petersburg", "Moskvoretsky" , "Resource" and others.
Yielding potato varieties of medium late ripeness: "Nikulinsky", "Loshitsky", "Amadeus", "Veras", "Zarevo", "Kristall", "Agria".
We plant several varieties of potatoes. Such as Gala, Nevsky and a little Sineglazka. We plant everything in mid-April, and remove it in late August, early September. I like the Gala variety.
