Fat pepper - the main characteristics of the variety
A bright and cute-looking chilli pepper belongs to the mid-season varieties. From the germination of the plant to the onset of the technical ripeness of the fruit, it will take from 115 to 118 days. Fat peppers are suitable for growing in greenhouses and in the open field.
To get strong and strong seedlings of pepper, seeds should be sown in the second half of February. The picking of grown plants is carried out in the cotyledon phase. Seedlings should be planted in the ground during the period when stable heat comes, around the end of May.
The formation of a bush is done by removing side shoots and leaves before the first fork. The plant is very responsive to regular watering. The height of an adult plant reaches 50-55 cm, it grows as a semi-spreading bush. The leaves of the puffy pepper are wrinkled, bright green, of medium size. The fruits of this variety of pepper have a prismatic shape, slight ribbing and a glossy surface. The color of the fruits of technical ripeness is green; upon reaching biological ripeness, they acquire a red color. The length of the fruit of the fatty pepper can reach 10-12 cm, in diameter - up to 8 cm. The pepper differs in rather thick walls, the thickness of which usually reaches 10 mm.
Ripe peppers usually weigh between 65 and 130 grams, but there are also larger specimens weighing up to 200 grams. The taste of fatty pepper is excellent. The positive aspects include the good transportability of a ripe crop.
The fat peppers should be planted according to the 40x60cm scheme. The yield usually obtained from 1 square meter is in the range of 4 - 4.5 kg.
