Phacelia bell-shaped - blue-eyed miracle

Bell-shaped phacelia is an amazing decoration of any garden and, moreover, an extremely unpretentious plant. The name of this blue-eyed miracle comes from the ancient Greek "phakelos", which literally means "bundle". The phacelia genus has a huge number of species: according to some sources, their total number exceeds eighty.

Phacelia bellate comes from Southern California. The branchy and sprawling bush of this plant is quite modest in size: its height rarely exceeds a quarter of a meter. Phacelia foliage has a grayish-green color, which is an excellent "background" for flowers painted in a deep blue shade. The leaves of the plant are small (their length is, as a rule, five to six centimeters), along the edge of each leaf there are many small teeth, the edges of which have a dark reddish-brown border.

Phacelia bell-shaped has become a favorite of many flower growers, not only because of its modest, but very attractive appearance, but also because of its extreme unpretentiousness in care and undemanding growing conditions. This flower grows best in well-lit, warm areas with light, well-drained soil, but the phacelia will not be capricious in cold, arid places. Caring for this plant is limited to moderate watering and regular loosening of the soil. The florist does not have to make special efforts to propagate the phacelia: the plant tends to multiply independently by seeds, which remain viable for up to three to four years.
