Statice flowers - immortal beauty
Statice (or kermek, many know it by this name) is a magic flower that perfectly retains its rich tones and shape after drying and pleases the florist's soul all year round. Compositions from this plant do not fly around, remain almost as bright as if only from the garden. By the way, statice flowers also look very impressive on the garden bed, and they have a considerable flowering period: from July to the first frost. Therefore, I recommend to everyone who wants to decorate their garden and garden possessions to have several multi-colored bushes.
You can buy statice seeds in almost every flower shop. They are sown at home in early spring. At room temperature, the first shoots appear within 5-10 days. When they grow up a little, you can carefully transplant them into large containers (if you originally sowed into small ones), and as soon as the cold weather passes (late May, early June) we plant our plants in open ground.
The statice will feel good in a sunny, wind-protected place. Since the plant is a steppe, it is not particularly demanding on soils and even prefers light sandy, loamy soils. It is recommended not to water the bushes too abundantly with salted water in a drought.
In a modern landscape design or in a flower bed with a grandmother - this plant will look appropriate everywhere. Compositions of stones, alpine slides "suit" him. Bright flower panicles will attract equally beautiful butterflies, so a living rainbow over the garden is guaranteed to you.
It is better to dry the statice one by one, hanging each branch separately.
