Spring white flower. Briefly about the main
The family of this lovely flower has a rather interesting name - amaryllidaceae. The Latin name for White Flower is Leucojum, roughly translated as white violet. But because of his bowed head, he inevitably reminds us of snowdrops. Although it can bloom not only in spring, but also in summer, and even in autumn, depending on the variety.
In nature, the spring white flower is sometimes found in Central Europe, on the edges of mountain beech forests. Gardeners are happy to grow this bulbous perennial in their flower beds, in their summer cottages. It was cultivated back in 1420. The plant grows up to 30 centimeters (along with the peduncle). Single white drooping flowers have a pleasant aroma and yellow (or green) specks at the tips of the petals.
It is best to plant a spring white flower in the period from July to September. Before that, you need to store the bulbs, sprinkled with moist peat, so as not to dry out. It is better to plant in the partial shade of trees, and not where the sun is in full swing in summer. Before planting, you can fertilize the soil with compost, wood ash, phosphate, ammonium nitrate, potassium chloride. You can pour a little potassium permanganate solution into the grooves.
With the onset of frost, it is recommended to insulate the place where the white flower is planted with fallen leaves of trees. In natural conditions, it often grows under them and uses their shelter. In one place, it is grown for up to 6 years in a row. You can propagate the plant with children or seeds. But in the second case, you need to sow immediately after harvesting, so as not to lose germination.
It is easier to drive out a white flower than crocuses or daffodils. It is less prone to disease and less susceptible to pest attacks. And in garden compositions it looks very advantageous.
