Begonia Fimbriata - terry beauty

The vast majority of flowers have their own subspecies. Begonia is no exception. This plant, beloved by many, has many forms, among which Begonia Fimbriata stands out.

The name of this type of begonias comes from the Latin word fimriata - fringed. And the hallmark of Fimbriata begonias are fringed petals, somewhat reminiscent of carnation petals.

This type of flower belongs to tuberous begonias. They are in demand among flower growers around the world. The subspecies of begonias Fimbriata has quite a few varieties that differ from each other in all sorts of colors, the size of the buds and the "irregularity" of the petals.

Just like most begonias, growing Fimbriata is not difficult, following certain rules. For example, in order for the plant to grow well after winter, it needs a temperature of about 22 degrees during the growing season. But when the buds appear, and then the flowers, the temperature should become slightly lower - 18-20 degrees. By the way, despite the fact that a not too hot temperature is needed for a beautiful and long flowering of begonia, it does not tolerate a cold snap. if the temperature drops to 14 degrees, the plant can get sick and die. This, of course, applies to those plants that are planted in the open air, because begonias are very decorative and are successfully used for the design of personal plots, decorating balconies, just like garden flowers.

Watering for begonias must be sufficient. especially during the period of plant growth - the ground should be moist all the time. But when Fimbriata blooms, watering should be slightly reduced, but it should still be watered regularly.

Good luck!
