Bells are flowers that grow on any kind of soil, so they are unpretentious in their composition. But if you want to make the plants pleasant, then plant them in loose and fertile soil. Stagnation of water at the landing sites is highly undesirable. For bells, moderate watering is preferable, which is increased on especially hot days.
In order for the flowering of bells to last longer, it is necessary to remove faded peduncles from the plants in a timely manner. Before flowering, during the budding period, it would be good to feed the bells with organic and mineral fertilizers.
Closer to winter (this is mainly done in October), the bells will need to be cut at the root. These plants tolerate winter well without additional shelter. If your bells belong to one of the southern varieties, then they will need shelter for the winter.
Bells can be propagated in several ways:
- division of plant rhizomes;
- dividing large bushes;
- cuttings;
- seeds.
