Growing a pinnate carnation
Many growers, once planting a flower on their site, become its fans forever. And as a result of their hobby, they try to find new varieties of their favorite plant or its species.
So, lovers of ordinary carnations very often plant a feathery carnation nearby - an unpretentious and flowering plant.
The carnation is pinnate to perennial herbaceous plants. Flowers are both simple and double, not very large - about 3 cm in diameter, but varied in color.
Growing pinnate cloves requires adherence to some recommendations.
It is necessary for this plant to find a sunny open place in the garden for good growth and flowering. The soil for planting should have a light, loose texture, be fertile and well-drained, without stagnant water.
As noted above, pinnate carnation is unpretentious, caring for it includes timely watering, feeding; weeding is only required around young plants.
When the flowering of plants ends, then the inflorescences are cut off, the bushes are shortened. This is necessary for better branching of plants and more abundant flowering for the next year.
Carnation is grown by feathery seeds or by separating rooted young shoots from the mother bush.
If you sow cloves with seeds, then this is done when the temperature in the spring is set at around + 14-16 degrees. But with this method of reproduction, plants will bloom only next year.
The plumose carnation belongs to winter-hardy plants, therefore, for the winter, its bushes can be left in a flower garden without special shelter.
