Raspberry Hercules will delight you with large berries
One of the outstanding remontant varieties of raspberries, that is, those capable of bearing fruit for a long time period, is the Hercules raspberry. It grows in the form of bushes, which are of average height and do not differ in special spreading, and therefore there is no need for their garter.
This culture bears fruits of a truncated-cone-shaped ruby color, large and very large in size (the average weight is 6-10 grams, and sometimes even 10-15). The fruits are characterized by a dense consistency, they taste sweet and sour. The berries ripen in the last decade of August, after which the bushes bear fruit until the onset of frost.
- it is unpretentious to growing conditions and does not require complex care;
- very resistant to diseases and pests;
- differs in good temperature tolerance with a minus sign in the winter season;
- gives an excellent harvest (more than 3 kg of fruits can be obtained from a bush, of which one third is already in the fall);
- fruits can be eaten fresh for a long time;
- berries are resistant to worm infestation, in particular, due to their late ripening.
Raspberry Hercules is perfect for use both as a dessert and for freezing, canning, cooking jam and compotes. We can say that it is universal. In addition, she is not afraid of long-distance transportation.
This particular variety of raspberries grows in my mother's dacha - the favorite taste of childhood. The berries are large and very beautiful, as in the picture, so we often use them to decorate desserts and cakes. The taste is not mega-young, but with sourness, but I like these.
