Bulb onions and their cultivation
Onions are an ingredient that no dish can do without. It is either fried, or pickled, or simply added fresh. In any case, onions, the beneficial properties of which are known to every person, are simply necessary in the daily diet.
After all, it has antiseptic and bactericidal properties that help fight various viruses. In general, the benefits of onions are associated with the fact that they increase the body's resistance to infectious diseases.
If you grow it on your site, then after harvesting, you can use onions as "seeds" for germinating fresh greens in the autumn-winter period. Usually, onions are grown at home in deep plates, on top of which a circle of cardboard is placed, where a small hole is made.
Water is poured into the plate itself and a little salt is added. The first feathers appear after a few weeks. By the way, it is better to pull out the feathers completely, and not just cut them in half, since in this place it will already grow poorly.
Onions at home also need additional feeding, which can be boric acid or potassium permanganate. Also, do not forget to change the water regularly, as it not only becomes cloudy, but gradually evaporates.
Some people prefer to grow onions from boxes that are filled with peat soil. To speed up the appearance of green shoots, the bulb must first be soaked in warm water for two days. Before planting, you need to make a vertical incision at the very top of the bulb.
We always, before planting onions, did not make a vertical cut, but a horizontal one, that is, cut off the top and green feathers appeared faster. Salt was never added to the water before planting onions.
