Sycamore tree

The oriental plane tree naturally grows in the Caucasus. In those conditions, the tree can reach 55-60 meters in height. This tree can be considered a long-liver, as it can live for almost 2 thousand years.

On the trunk of a mighty tree, a wide and dense crown is striking. The leaves of the tree are very large - they reach 10-20 cm in length. The leaves are quite decorative.

The kernel of nuts from a sycamore tree is called a plane tree - they are very tasty and healthy. That is why they are so appreciated.

The eastern plane tree needs very good drainage, sunlight and moisture. If all the necessary conditions are provided for him, then he will grow 1.5-2 meters a year. This tree is quite frost-resistant and tolerates very easily when the temperature drops to -15 degrees.

If you are going to propagate a tree with seeds, then store the seeds in a dry and cool place - this will preserve all the properties of the seeds for a year. Before sowing, soak the seeds over for a day. It is better to plant in the spring, but if the soil is lightened, then it is better to plant in the fall.
