How to properly care for cyclamen

Cyclamens are famous for their capriciousness and difficulty in growing. However, knowing how to properly care for cyclamen, you can enjoy their large and unusually beautiful flowers in your home.

Unlike most flowering plants, which love warmth, cyclamen prefers a cooler environment. Even the flowering period of cyclamen falls in the winter season, but by the spring the last buds of the plant fade and it goes into a dormant stage.

How to properly care for cyclamen? Before answering this question, you need to figure out how this flower can be grown. Cyclamen reproduces, in addition to seeds, a spherical corm. The bulb should be planted in a small pot, buried in the soil so that the top of it is on the surface.

It is recommended to water cyclamen in a tray. You can also put a flower pot in water for a few minutes - the plant will absorb as much moisture as it needs. During the rest period, when the cyclamen has already bloomed, watering should be reduced.

After flowering, the cyclamen usually sheds its foliage as well. If this did not happen naturally, then you should carefully cut off the leaves, being careful not to damage the tuber. During this period, it is better to keep the plant in a cool place.

Cyclamen responds very well to humid air. This can be achieved by spraying water around the plant. It is very important during this procedure to prevent moisture from getting on the leaves and flowers of the cyclamen. If you have difficulty with this, then try placing the flower pot on wet pebbles.

I heard that it is poisonous. So I had to take my flower to work. There it grows excellently, and I did not have any problems with growing.
