The first spring flowers - messengers of warmth and sun, nature gave us not so many. And they are all loved by gardeners for their resistance to the last frost, for their bright charming tenderness. One of these primroses is marigold. A bright spring flower - marigold in the photo - made many flower growers grow this remarkable plant in their own area.

This flower - loves the sun and water. It is these spring signs that fill our gardens on May days. And it is then - in late April - early May, the marigold blooms. In horticulture, they grow mainly Kaluzhnitsa marsh. Breeders have bred several varieties of this flower - an inhabitant of forest lakeside places. Terry Kaluzhnitsa, whose flowers are collected in bright golden pom-poms, is of particular beauty. By its structure, the flower of Terry Kaluzhnitsa resembles a dahlia. There are also varieties with a slightly different color, for example, whitish petals with a bright yellow core.

Kaluzhnitsa prefers clayey moist soils, and therefore will be an excellent decoration for a place near a summer cottage. She needs a lot of sun, but she can easily tolerate shading, and she will, of course, prefer nutritious soil, rich in nutrients, but not dry.

For abundant and long flowering, the marigold needs to be watered often and abundantly, choosing a sunny place for planting, and periodically fed.

Kaluzhnitsa is not afraid of frost, it winters with ease. Therefore, this plant is very convenient and practical to grow - with minimal care it pleases the eye with bright flowers and juicy greens.
