Calceolaria in the photo immediately attracts attention and makes you want to try to grow this plant in the country or at home at least once.

Flowers of an unusual shape - like shoes - give this herbaceous plant decorativeness. In addition to the shape, calceolaria flowers also have a bright, attractive color.

A lot of various hybrids of this flower have already been bred. To your taste, you can choose the color of flowers from snow-white to yellow, from orange to bright red. In addition, flower petals are decorated with specks, dots, which gives them even greater charm and showiness.

Indoors, calceolaria is grown as an annual and biennial plant. It blooms very profusely: at the same time, up to 50 flowers can bloom on each plant!

But in room conditions, not everyone will be able to breed calceolaria. This is due to the fact that it must be kept in a fairly cool (not higher than +15 degrees) room, with low lighting and a fairly high level of humidity.

Under other conditions, plants are quickly attacked by pests (mainly aphids and whiteflies), wither and eventually die. Therefore, in most cases, calceolaria plants are not left for the next year, but renewed. In addition, they reproduce well by seeds.
