Primrose flower - photo and care
The primrose flower, a photo of which can be seen on every website related to floriculture, is one of the first pleasing to the eye, blooming in gardens and flower beds in spring.
It is impossible not to pay attention to these bright, colorful and cute flowers. They want to be viewed in other people's flower beds, and to have in their own garden. Longer primrose flowers will delight their owners in the event that they are given a place in the cool for planting.
The primrose flower, a photo of which can very often be seen on the sunny side of the site, is photophilous, but direct sunlight can negatively affect the plants.
In winter and spring, during the flowering period, the preferred temperature for primrose is about + 8-12 degrees. If the temperature starts to rise, the plants will shed their flowers.
During the period of laying flower buds and flowering itself, primroses need regular and abundant watering: the soil must be kept constantly moist. But, of course, there is no need to bring the soil to the state of a swamp. It is preferable to water the plants with soft, settled water, trying not to get on the leaves (especially on fresh, young ones).
If you grow primrose indoors, then provide it with good air humidity. This is especially true in the winter period, when the premises are heated and the air in them is dry. In this case, pallets with wet expanded clay will come to the rescue, on which pots with plants are placed.
In any case, primroses prefer a loose, nutritious substrate for growth that retains moisture well. About 3 times per season, the plants must be fed with mineral fertilizers.
