Cattail photos or why toads sing in ponds
Today, natural reservoirs for a city dweller are almost exotic, therefore, very often landscape designers try to equip artificial ponds in places of recreation for city dwellers, in local parks, on the outskirts of the city. Cattail photos will help to perceive the picture of a beautiful reservoir, because this is one of the few plants that are planted specifically for decorative purposes on the banks and practically in the water of lakes and ponds, rivers.
The cattail photo looks more like a clogged pond than a beautifully decorative pond. And this is not surprising, because in nature it often clogs ponds than decorates, but this is only if you do not monitor the growth of the plant. Very often the cattail plant is confused with reeds, but these are different plants and there is no similarity between them. Young children are very fond of cattail flowers and often compare them to microphones. Very often you can see little kids on the banks of water bodies. who run around with little flowers and sing songs as if into a microphone. Probably it is thanks to these flowers that frogs so often enjoy singing in reservoirs :)
Cattails are often planted in artificial reservoirs in containers so that they can be stored in a sheltered place during cold winters. In addition, planted in this way, they will not grow and thus clog the pond. Requires a warm and sunny location. Cattail grows and spreads very quickly, so every year it is necessary to cut off new shoots in the fall, otherwise it will simply clog the pond, and will not bloom and thus decorate the pond.
