Small-toothed primrose and its cultivation
Small-toothed primrose belongs to perennial plants that reach a height of 15 cm. It is distinguished by its decorative color and long, abundant flowering from April to May.
In terms of care, almost all varieties of primrose are unpretentious and cold-resistant. They are great for decorating flower beds, mini-ponds and various garden vases. As a rule, fine-toothed primrose is combined with such flowers: violet, daffodils, low bells, phlox, low irises, scilla and muscari.
Growing primrose
So, primrose planting is carried out only in fertile, drained and moist soil. For her, you can choose those land plots where a small shadow falls. However, try to avoid planting primroses in high beds, as the land dries out very quickly there.
Note that primrose care includes regular watering. Keep the ground constantly moist, but beware of over-watering. During watering, water should not get on the leaves of this plant.
Since primrose grows in nature near mountain rivers or streams, adherence to the water regime plays the most important role. After a period of active growth (April and May), the primrose begins the so-called summer dormancy. But at the beginning of August, the growth of leaves, roots is activated, and flower buds are also laid.
As you can see, a primrose plant, the cultivation of which cannot be called difficult, is considered unpretentious, but, at the same time, a very beautiful flower that will decorate your summer cottage.
