Cyclamen from seeds
Cyclamen is a beautiful and rather unpretentious plant that is grown both outdoors and as a house flower. It is especially appreciated as a houseplant, since at home it blooms even in winter and, of course, looks extremely impressive on the windowsill. Cyclamen is grown from seeds, since this method is the most preferred and effective.
The fact is that by growing cyclamen from seeds, we automatically accustom it to the conditions of detention, lighting and soil that we have. In other cases, the plant needs a certain period of adaptation to new conditions. This is especially true for large enough plants bought in the store, which in this case may not take root in the new home.
In order to grow cyclamen from seeds, you must first soak the seeds in warm water for a day. This can be done, for example, with a small cotton pad moistened with water. At this time, you should prepare a container for planting, in which there must be drainage. To grow cyclamen, you can use both an earthen mixture and a mixture of sand and peat, which, after the appearance of the first shoots, is sprinkled with earth on top.
Until the seeds have hatched, it is best to keep the pot in a cool place with a temperature of 10 to 20 degrees. Watering is necessary in moderation, that is, the earth does not need to be allowed to dry out, but it is also not worth pouring the pot. The first shoots usually appear after a month, although the waiting period can take up to three months.
