Range
When buying polyurethane foam, you need to decide in advance on the front of the work that needs to be done. It is also best to roughly calculate the amount of material that will be needed. The line of Tytan polyurethane foams is represented by a wide range of products for various types of work. All products can be divided into three main groups:
- One-component formulations are sold with a plastic applicator, which eliminates the need to purchase a pistol.
- Professional formulations are designated Tytan Professional. The cylinders are prepared for use with a pistol.
- Compositions for special purposes are used in individual cases when it is necessary to obtain any specific properties from frozen foam.
Tytan Professional 65 and Tytan Professional 65 Ice (winter) are some of the most common options. In addition to a large amount of ready-made foam, several more distinctive properties can be distinguished:
- ease of use (the cylinder is prepared for the use of a pistol);
- has high sound insulation - up to 60 dB;
- used at positive temperatures;
- has a high class of fire resistance;
- the shelf life is one and a half years.
Tytan Professional Ice 65 differs from many types of polyurethane foams in that it can be used at subzero temperatures: when the air is -20 and the cylinder is -5. Thanks to the use of innovative technologies, even at such low temperatures for work, all properties remain at a high level:
- The productivity is about 50 liters at low temperatures, with an air rate of +20 the finished foam will be about 60-65 liters.
- Sound insulation - up to 50 dB.
- Pre-processing is possible in an hour.
- There is a wide range of application temperatures: from -20 to +35.
- It has a middle class of fire resistance.
When working with Tytan 65, it is necessary to clean the surface of ice and moisture, otherwise the foam will not fill the entire space and will lose all its basic properties. The product easily withstands temperatures down to -40, so it can be used for outdoor work in the middle lane or more southern territories.
After applying the foam, it must be remembered that it will collapse under direct exposure to sunlight, therefore it must be applied between building materials or painted over after it has completely solidified.
The use of Tytan 65 professional polyurethane foam allows you to achieve excellent results: one cylinder will fill a large volume, and the use of a special Tytan Professional Ice composition allows you to work even at low temperatures.

Consumption
The factors determining the material consumption are the size and shape of the joint applied to the surface. With a rectangular cross-section, an approximate calculation of the flow rate per 1 m of the seam can be made according to the simplified formula: D x B, where D is the seam depth (mm), B is the seam width (mm). For example, if the width and depth of the joint are 6 mm, then the flow rate will be 6 x 6 = 36 ml per 1 m of the joint. With a triangular seam, the consumption formula will take the form: ½ B x G. That is, with equal width and depth, for example, 12 mm, the consumption will be: 6 x 12 = 72 ml per 1 meter of the seam.
The manufacturer, as a rule, indicates on the packaging the maximum possible foam yield.
The first stage follows immediately at the moment the material leaves the tube. The second is at the end of the polymerization cycle of the substance.
Views
The manufacturer of assembly sealants produces several types of Tytan Professional foams for professional use.
- Refractory (products marked B1). Its main feature is its resistance to flames. Such material is capable of not igniting and melting in a fire for 6 hours. And also a one-component fire-resistant mass is able to reliably isolate the room from gas and smoke penetration.
- Winter is a two-component foam designed for extreme conditions. It can be used at temperatures from -20 to +35 degrees. The improved formula of the composition allows you not to heat the container before use and during the sealing process.
- Summer is a foam designed for operation at positive ambient temperatures. These materials do not contain harmful components that have a destructive effect on the ozone layer.
And also the manufacturer produces foam glue for 60 seconds. It is an innovative material designed for quick and easy assembly of building products. It is used for gluing decorative elements, ceramic tiles, mineral wool, drywall, OSB boards, aerated concrete structures. Foam glue is able to glue the product in 1 minute. This material is easy to use and versatile. It can be used at low temperatures or high humidity. The glue is applied with a gun. Complete polymerization of the applied mass occurs in a day.
Peculiarities
It was from the beginning of the production of Makroflex foam that the history of the manufacturer of the same name, popular in many countries of the world, which is now part of the Henkel group (country of origin - Estonia), began. Today the company is renowned for its extensive line of sealants, adhesives, cleaning fluids and tools. Such a variety of products, and most importantly, its quality, makes the Makroflex brand highly rated in its segment of the world market.
Foam for mounting Makroflex or polyurethane sealant is available in tubes with different volumes. The substance, consisting of a prepolymer and a propellant gas, solidifies upon contact with air, which ensures high-quality filling of cavities. For this product, in accordance with its main purpose, the following features are characteristic, which led to its widespread use in construction work:
Scope of application
Consider the main areas of application of foam from Makroflex:
For the installation of windows and doors
The advantages of Makroflex foam are:
- no need for special preparatory manipulations;
- versatility and breadth of application;
- ease of use;
- affordable prices;
- reliability;
- fast hardening compared to cement composition;
- the ability to work with wood, stone, metal, PVC and chipboard coatings, concrete and foam concrete products;
- wide temperature range of application;
- elimination of the formation of dust and pollution in the process of work.
The disadvantages include the following points:
Specifications
Tytan 65 is a one-component polyurethane mixture designed for building materials installation and sealing. At maximum productivity, the professional assembly staff "Tytan 65" has excellent technical characteristics in a number of other parameters:
- noise isolation - up to 61 dB;
- surface pretreatment time - not less than 30 minutes;
- t ° of application - from +5 to + 30 ° С;
- t ° of the cylinder during operation - from + 10 to + 30 ° С;
- water absorption (one day after application) - no more than 1.5%;
- fire resistance - F / B3;
- thermal conductivity - 0.03 W / mk;
- tensile strength - 100 kPa;
- porosity - 65-75%.
The composition is realized in cylinders with a volume of 750 ml, it is distributed using a special nozzle-pistol.
In addition to the basic composition, the company's line includes winter versions of Tytan 65 polyurethane foam, containing special modified additives that allow them to be used at low temperatures.
Winter formulations include:
professional winter foam "Tytan 65";
"Professional ICE 65".
Having technical characteristics similar to the main composition, each of them has its own characteristics. So, a professional winter assembly compound can be used at an air temperature of -20 to + 30 ° С, while the t ° of the cylinder itself with the composition should be at least + 5 ° С. It is necessary to process the surface before applying the composition in 40 minutes.
Foam "Professional ICE 65", in turn, is used at a similar air temperature, but the cylinder itself can cool down to -5 ° C without compromising the efficiency of the process.
