It would be interesting to know if a positive result can be achieved if you try to grow adult plants from the seeds of a tasty, ripe, juicy bunch of grapes. It turns out that you can grow a vine at home from an ordinary grape seed extracted from a store-bought berry. What is most interesting is that it is possible to achieve fruiting grapes in room conditions, but for this you need to learn about the nuances of growing it from a seed.

How to prepare a seed for sowing

Choosing grape seeds for planting is better than new varieties that are resistant to various diseases. It is preferable to extract the seeds from ripe berries, rinse thoroughly in running water.

After washing, grape seeds are not dried or planted in the ground. They are laid out in moist nylon bags, which are wrapped in polyethylene, and placed ... in the refrigerator. The bones are removed and washed regularly. After about 1-2 months, you will see cracks on them - the seeds are ready for planting.

How to grow grapes from seed further? After cooling, the bones wrapped in a damp cloth are placed for two days in a warm place, for example, to a battery. When you see the roots, it's time to plant the bones in a mixture of sand and humus. The seed pots are placed in a well-lit and warm place.

After about a week, the first shoots appear above the soil surface, the care of which includes timely watering, fertilizing and loosening the soil.

At the beginning of summer, plants are transplanted into larger pots or planted in a garden plot, after having carried out hardening procedures. A place for planting grapes should be chosen well-lit and ventilated. The soil should be light, sufficiently moist and breathable. Traditionally, trellises are installed: a wire is pulled on strong two-meter supports. The spacing between plants must be kept within two meters.

A layer of broken bricks mixed with sand as drainage is laid at the bottom of the pit for planting, on which the soil is then laid. On a mound of dry soil, you need to carefully spread the roots of the plant, sprinkling 2-3 buds with earth so that only the leaves are visible. After abundant watering, you need to cover dry soil on top. Closer to winter, the vine is twisted into rings and covered with earth, but the top rises and is additionally covered.

Not necessary prune the plant until it enters the fruiting phase. You should also not be upset if the first berries turn out to be dissimilar to those from which the seed once inspired a breeding experiment. A seed-grown plant may be more resistant to specific climatic conditions, but keep in mind that you will have to be patient while waiting for fruits that can unpleasantly surprise and disappoint. One end of the cutting is cut horizontally near the upper bud, at least three buds are counted, after which the cut is made obliquely.
