Construction processing

Note! If there is high humidity in the house, it is advisable to soak the modules with a water-repellent compound, and then varnish them. If you need to adjust the color to the interior, you can pre-saturate the finished staircase with the stain of the desired shade. But this must be done before varnishing.

You can, of course, paint the steps, but the paint will hide all the charm of the wood pattern. If you wish, you can choose both a strict version with straight balusters and a design with carved railings.

Often, for one reason or another, the homeowner decides to install not a straight, but a swing staircase. This saves space in many ways, and decorates the interior. Often the staircase has a turn not along its entire length, but only in the lower part.

Ladder installation

1. Calculate the exact height of the future staircase.
2. Purchase a prefabricated structure, and be sure to make sure all the parts are present.
3. When unpacking, make sure you have one top and one bottom fixing piece. They should be on hand first.
4. Intermediate parts are calculated as follows - the height of the stairs is divided by the height of the step (22.5 cm) and two pieces are taken away.
5. If you assemble the ladder with your own hands, then choose the supports according to the lifting height. That is, if the lift is less than 1.8 m, then a small support (L - 100 mm) will suit you, if the lift is more than 1.8 m, a large and small support (L - 100 mm and L - 200 mm) is taken ...
6. The number of steps should be equal to the number of mounting parts.
7. The number of large balusters must be equal to the number of small balusters.
8. The railing posts should be two times less in the number of steps of the same parameter (if the staircase is straight and rests on the wall), and four times less in the case of a direct arrangement.
9. If you are installing a rotary model, the balusters should be half the number of steps.
10. The length and number of steps are selected based on the location of the staircase, its model, as well as the height of the march.
11. Assemble the unpacked ladder exactly in the sequence recommended by the attached instructions; be sure to ask the seller for underfilled parts.

If you decide to set aside just one day to modify your house or summer cottage by arranging a comfortable staircase upstairs, then you have made the right choice.
