Shelf life in an unopened cartridge is 18 months from the date of production if stored in a cool, dry place at temperatures between + 5 ° C and + 25 ° C).

Before use, the cartridge should be kept at room (+ 20 ° C) temperature for at least 12 hours. It is recommended to carry out work at temperatures from + 5 ° C to + 40 ° C. At temperatures below + 5 ° C, work can only be carried out if there is no condensation, snow or ice on the surfaces. The surfaces to which the sealant is applied must be clean and dry.Oily surfaces must be cleaned with acetone or MAKROFLEX CLEANER. White spirit can be used to clean metal surfaces. If old sealant remains in the joint, it must be completely removed, the surfaces must be cleaned. Primer: No primer required for non-porous surfaces.

Instructions for use

Cut off the top of the cartridge thread and screw on the tip. Cut the tip of the ferrule at a 40 ° angle to match the seam width. Place the cartridge in the applicator gun. Fill the joint tightly with sealant. Smooth out the sealant with a damp piece of wood or trowel. The silicone surface dries in about 15 minutes. It is not recommended to paint this sealant, as the paint does not adhere to the flexible silicone surface. Until the silicone has completely hardened, working tools and contaminated surfaces can be cleaned with mineral spirits. Joint size: minimum width 6 mm / maximum width 30 mm / minimum depth 2 mm. Recommended ratio of joint width to depth: 2: 1. Removal of stains: Fresh stains of the sealant are removed with mineral spirits.

Makroflex AX104 is not recommended for use: * On metal surfaces subject to corrosion, on concrete, cement and plastered surfaces - acetic acid vapors are released during the vulcanization of the sealant * On natural stones - stains may remain when the sealant interacts with the stone

Acetic acid vapors released during the vulcanization of the sealant may irritate the respiratory tract if inhaled for a long time. Therefore, work should be carried out in a well-ventilated area or a protective mask should be used. In case of contact of uncured sealant with eyes or mucous membranes, immediately rinse the affected area thoroughly with water. Fully cured sealant is harmless to health.

• When it comes to sanitary options, these sealants are highly resistant to aging and excessive moisture. They contain special antiseptic substances that prevent the formation of mold and mildew. It is recommended to work with materials of this type at temperatures from plus 5 to plus 40 degrees. If the temperature is below five degrees, then you should make sure that there is no ice and frost on the treated surface.
• The versatile options are great for glass, tile and aluminum. They are moisture resistant, not afraid of UV radiation, and are not susceptible to mold formation over time.

• Neutral sealants can be used on many surfaces without first priming. They have a weak and unobtrusive odor, do not cause corrosion if they are coated with metals, in addition, sealants of this type are absolutely not afraid of excessive moisture and ozone. These building materials are suitable for a wide variety of surfaces, including painted wood, plastics and various types of alkaline substrates.
• Acrylic sealants maintain excellent flexibility due to their excellent formulation. They are not afraid of UV radiation. In addition, they are resistant to freezing and hypothermia. Despite its excellent characteristics, this variety is not recommended for use on surfaces that will regularly come into contact with water. Otherwise, the sealant will soon have to be changed.

• The bituminous version of the brand can be applied even to damp surfaces. Its mass will not drip and drip due to the excellent composition of the product. There is no asbestos in the composition.
• Refractory sealant has some of the best technical properties. Suitable even for the most extreme temperatures, it is resistant to open fire. Over time, it does not shrink specifically and does not emit smoke. Suitable for surface painting.
• The one-component polyurethane version is considered to be resistant to salty seawater and a wide variety of chemicals.

Application area
