Snowplow complex SU 2.1 OPM - "Clean City"

A modified version of the snow blower SU 2.1 OPM snow blower, which differs from the base version by the presence of a universal transformable chute for throwing and loading the removed snow.

The complex, which uses city streets and highways to remove drifts, can load snow onto trucks and trailers with a side height of up to 3.4 meters. In this case, the change in the configuration of the snow-throwing pipe is made from the operator's cab of the base tractor while the machine is moving and takes no more than 10 seconds.

The efficiency of using the complex and its high productivity is ensured by the possibility of quick replacement or dismantling of the unit and the absence of the need to use a speed reduction device during operation.

Consisting of a SU 2.1 cleaner and a CO 2.5 dump attached to the front or rear of the base tractor, the snow removal complex is capable of clearing snow from a roadway up to four meters wide.

Advantages of the SU 2.1 OPM snowplow:

  1. High power that reduces cleaning time, eliminating the formation of a snow bank;
  2. High precision of discharge of compacted snow;
  3. The highest operating speed for similar units is up to 7 km. in hour;
  4. Possibility of positioning the vehicle loaded with the removed snow on either side of the complex.

Equipment features

The models that are attached include rotary snow blowers (SHRS). Their principle of operation is that the main drive is driven by the engine of the vehicle to which it is attached, through a gearbox and a propeller shaft. To make it more convenient to ride on impassable roads, special tires with spikes or (if necessary) caterpillars are foreseen on wheels.

When moving, the augers capture the snow, crush it and move it to the middle of the branch pipe, after which, with the help of the rotor, it is thrown out through a special chute and pipe for removing the masses at a distance of 15-25 meters. The length of the throw depends on the compaction and depth of the snow, the power of the engine of the device to which it is attached, and the speed of movement of this vehicle.

The productivity of the auger is on average about 200 tons / hour, which even increases when the snow mass is thrown to one side. There is a function of loading snow into a body or container. The design of the installation is very simple: it is attached to any low-speed tractor or machine using a special hitch, which saves time and physical costs.

Comparing SHRS with similar snow blowers, one can note their obvious advantages and disadvantages. We attribute to the advantages:

  • impressive performance of snow removal;
  • long throwing distance and depth of snow removed.

Disadvantages:

  • enormous weight of the structure;
  • small working pace of movement;
  • subordination to other machines;
  • high cost and inability to use out of season.

The basis of the operation of modules of this type is the same, the only difference is in the configuration and technical characteristics that you need to pay attention to when buying: this is the performance, the corridor of the cleared area, what speed the equipment to which it is attached can develop, the density and range of snow throwing, the availability and price of spare parts to the selected model

The CO 2.5 snow plow made of a steel profile is an effective snow removal equipment used to remove snow from roads, sidewalks, courtyards and other areas with a hard surface without throwing it back.

The main advantage of the snowplow is the ability to turn the blade to the right and left by 30º, increasing productivity, using the tractor's hydraulic system.

The blade, which is aggregated with the most massive tractor of the post-Soviet countries, MTZ-80, is rotated from the cab of the machine using two hydraulic cylinders that give movement to 60 mm rods.

Due to its compatibility with the universal attachment mechanisms of MTZ tractors, the snowplow, which was developed for use with snow-throwing aggregates, is quickly and effortlessly replaced by other snowplowing devices, in particular, snowthrowers of the SU model range, if necessary.

The snowplow complex, equipped with a SU-2.1 series snowplow and a CO 2.5 dump, clears the road surface up to 4 meters wide from snow in one pass.

The blade, reinforced by a metal pipe that gives additional rigidity to the structure, has a geometry similar to the shapes of the best foreign samples of high-speed snow blowers, can be placed both in the front and in the rear of the tractor.

Thanks to the steel and rubber-reinforced blades installed in the lower part of the working surface of the unit, the blade does an excellent job of removing packed snow, ice, and can also be used for moving and leveling soil and bulk materials.
