Model overview
The shield of the NBT-EURO model is equipped with a polyethylene headgear. For its formation, special injection molding machines are used. Attachment of the head element to the body is carried out using wing nuts. There are 3 fixed headgear positions. The top of the head and chin are protected very well.
Main parameters:
- height of special glass 23.5 cm;
- weight of the protective device 290 g;
- permissible operating temperatures range from -40 to +80 degrees.
Face shield NBT-1 has a screen (mask) made of polycarbonate. Of course, they do not take any polycarbonate, but only flawlessly transparent and resistant to high temperatures. The headgear of the Standard format works very reliably. The device as a whole guarantees reliable protection against particles whose energy does not exceed 5.9 J.
The guard of the NBT-2 model is supplemented with a chin. 2 mm transparent polycarbonate is mechanically resistant. Since the screen can be adjusted, it is placed in a comfortable working position. The headband of the shield is also adjusted. The shield is compatible with almost all work glasses and respirators.
Also worth noting:
- compliance with the first optical class;
- protection against solid particles with a kinetic energy of at least 15 J;
- working temperatures from -50 to +130 degrees;
- reliable protection against sparks and splashes, drops of non-aggressive liquids;
- approximate gross weight 0.5 kg.
Selection Tips
The purpose of the protective shield is of decisive importance here. Each industry has its own requirements and standards. So, for welders, the use of high-level light filters will be a mandatory requirement. It is advisable to check how well the headband of the visor is adjusted. The weight of the product is also very important - there must be a balance between the degree of protection and ergonomics.
The higher the level of protection, all other things being equal, the better. It is very good if the shield saves from:
- temperature rise;
- corrosive substances;
- rather large mechanical fragments.
