- to protect the scalp and neck, a removable hood is used, in which a fire retardant screen is provided;
- for warming the head in the cold season, a heater is provided, made in the form of a helmet.

The bag is designed to carry the gas mask and its components.

Design features
Compared to earlier models, the PMK-3 modification has oversized observation glasses. The product is equipped with an intercom and a water intake system.
The improved design has a higher degree of tightness and helps to reduce moisture condensation on the glass.
Round slots on both halves of the gas mask are designed to fix the FPC. This allows you to set it in the desired position, which is required in each specific case, and also makes it possible to take into account the physiological characteristics of a person using a gas mask. The opposite hole is closed with a plug.
A sub-mask is provided inside the mask body, which serves to divide the internal volume into separate zones. In addition, this element provides the creation of paths for air access to the glasses of the glasses.
To ensure the possibility of water inflow, a design is provided, which consists of a valve at the bottom of the mask and a device for connecting to a liquid container.
This unit serves to exclude the ingress of air from the atmosphere.
