Cream cheese slime: features, how to do it yourself, slime recipe, storage rules

Where to store the slime

It is best to store your stress reliever in a cool place, such as in the refrigerator or on the balcony, but not in the freezer. At subzero temperatures, the antistress will be covered with ice, and even after defrosting it will not be possible to restore it.

Harmful to slimes and excessive moisture. If the antistress gets moldy, you just have to throw it away.

Use an airtight container. This may be the packaging in which the slime was sold, but if the anti-stress is homemade, any other jar with a tight-fitting lid will do.

If, for some reason, the slime still began to deteriorate, do not rush to get upset and throw the toy away. Some "breakdowns" are quite realistic to eliminate at home (more information on how to restore the slime).

Tears. Perhaps you added too much tetraborate, or the slime for some other reason began to tear, not stretch. To fix this, use a hand cream or baby oil.

You can also microwave it for a couple of minutes. It is important not to overdo it, otherwise the slime will become liquid and it will be impossible to play with it.

Will stick to your hands. From too high a temperature, antistress can become liquid and begin to stick to your hands (more on why the slime sticks to your hands)

To restore its elasticity, use sodium tetraborate. This substance is sold in any pharmacy. Just add a few drops to the slime and it will recover. The main thing is to add tetraborate little by little. If you overdo it, the slime will become too hard.

  • Decreases. If you play actively with the slime, it will inevitably decrease. This is due to the evaporation of moisture. But this process can also be avoided: mix the slime with a pinch of salt, then place in a jar and add 2-3 tsp. water. Close it with a lid and shake vigorously. Repeat this procedure every 3-4 days so that it does not dry out (read how to soften dried slime).
  • Gets dirty. In antistress, sooner or later, wool, hair, dust particles and other dirt appear. To remove them - add a couple of drops of vegetable oil to the slime and remember the slime. The dirt is now less sticky to the anti-stress and can be removed with tweezers or a needle.

Handgam storage features

Conditioner-based slimes come out liquidish, with a damp surface. It is difficult to get rid of this property: if you wish, you can sprinkle talcum powder on your hands or smear it with cream so that the slime does not stick. The second option is preferable. • Put it in the refrigerator: store the slime there.
  • Play with it every 2-3 days, after playing add 1-2 tsp into the container. salted water. It will keep the hendgam from drying out.
  • Try not to take hands with dirty hands. It quickly collects dust, lint and is unsuitable for play.
  • Wash your hands after play to get rid of any chemical particles.

Where to store slime

Slime is more liquid than slime, but they have similar storage conditions. An airtight container and a cool place are required.

In addition, if you pour a couple of teaspoons of water into a jar of slime and leave it in the refrigerator overnight, it will absorb water and increase in size.

Some ideas for storing anti-stress:

  • Cream jar. As a rule, such a jar is screwed tightly, ensuring tightness. Wash it off the remains of the cream with warm water and soap, then wipe dry with a paper towel.
  • Processed cheese container. The plastic box also closes tightly, and there is enough space on the lid to draw something beautiful on it or indicate information about the "inhabitant".
  • A can of coffee. A tin can works well for storing large, homemade slimes or slimes. The main thing is to make sure that there are no small grains of coffee left inside that can contaminate the anti-stress.

Boxing with slimes

  • Jars of medicines. Screw-top plastic jars are also very handy. For liquid slime, you can also use a glass bottle with a wide mouth.
  • Zip package. An airtight bag is the most compact anti-stress container, but not very durable. Not suitable for permanent wearing in a pocket or backpack. You can also use a plastic bag from coffee or cocoa, it is opaque, but it will not tear even under the weight of books or groceries in a backpack.

How to make a box for slime

If you can't find a suitable container at hand, you can do it yourself. Use a juice or milk bag as material. Inside such a bag there is a layer of foil that prevents the cardboard from absorbing moisture.

  1. Choose a bag that is the right size for your slime. Rinse it thoroughly with warm water to remove any remaining contents.
  2. Mark the estimated height of the future box with a felt-tip pen. Using a ruler, draw a line on the front, back, and one of the sides of the bag.
  3. Step back from the drawn line up about 10 cm and draw a line on the second side wall.
  4. Use a utility knife to cut the bag along the lines. You should have a box with one of the walls about 10 cm higher than the rest.
  5. Fold up the high wall so that it serves as a lid for the box. Cut off excess if required.
  6. To keep the lid well, you can glue a small magnet to it, and glue something metallic to the box where it touches the lid. You can also use Velcro, or just tie the box with twine.
  7. Your box is ready! Decorate it to your liking with self-adhesive, colored paper, stickers, etc., and you can "populate" the slime.

How to store a toy correctly?

Slime is easy to make from just a few components, but such a toy does not last long. It can be used for a longer period of time, provided it is properly stored and maintained. To do this, you need to adhere to the following rules:

  1. Store the toy in a cool place, do not allow direct sunlight on it. Best placed on a balcony or refrigerator. Slime cannot be stored in the freezer; after freezing, it will lose its properties.
  2. Slime should be stored in an airtight container to avoid drying out of the composition. This can be a plastic container with a lid, a jar of cream or coffee, etc.
  3. If the toy becomes too dry, you can return to its previous shape by adding a couple of drops of water to the bottom of the storage container. If, on the contrary, the consistency is softened, then you need to add a little salt, it will absorb excess moisture.
  4. Slime requires regular, but not too frequent use. If they rarely play, mold can form in it and the toy will become unusable. But if you use it too often, the slime will quickly become dirty and decrease in size, which will significantly reduce its service life.
  5. Do not touch the toy with various fleecy surfaces, dirty and dusty places, as small fibers and debris will quickly adhere to it, as a result of which it will lose its initial shape and properties.

Children under three years old can play with a slime only in the presence of adults. A child may mistake a toy for gummy candy and swallow it, which is hazardous to health.

Simple and easy methods of making a slime make it possible to involve even children in this process. You only need a few ingredients and a couple of magical transformations, after which you will have a fun and at the same time useful toy in your hands. With its help, fine motor skills are excellently developed in children, and for adults it is a good anti-stress option.
