How to make a slime at home?

To make mountain slime, you will need a fairly large number of different ingredients. It, in fact, consists of two separate slimes of different types.

Ingredients and their proportions in the recipe

Mountain slime will be made of two parts - dyed (you can use any dye color) and white. Also, the bottom part can consist of several separate colors. For a white slime, you will need the following ingredients:

PVA glue - 50 ml. This is one of the most important ingredients in almost any slime. The glue helps to quickly obtain the required slime consistency, especially when sodium tetraborate is used as an activator

If you take an expired PVA, the required consistency will not be.

Water - 50 ml. Its temperature should be 22-28 degrees.

For the colored part of the slime, you need to prepare the following ingredients:

1. Water - 150 ml.
2. Stationery glue - 200 ml.
3. Sodium tetraborate - 4-6 drops or a dishwashing detergent substitute.
4. Dye. The amount of dye depends on the desired result. The more it is, the richer the color will be. You can use water-based paint or food coloring.

In addition to all of the above, you will need containers for preparing mountain slime, as well as a plastic container for its further storage.

Important! The dishes in which the slime will be made are undesirable to use for cooking.

Step-by-step manufacturing process

Now you can proceed directly to the manufacture of slime. You should start from the bottom.

Step by step process:

1. Silicate glue is poured into a deep container and water is added to it, which should be at room temperature. Mix everything well.
2. Add the color and mix again until a uniform color is obtained.
3. Potassium tetraborate must be dissolved in a small amount of water, then gradually pour into the mixture, constantly stirring the mass.

It is necessary that the mass is thick, elastic and does not stick to the hands and walls of the container. If you want to make a multi-colored bottom part of the slime, then it is prepared in several containers (depending on the number of colors), and then everything is shifted into one.

1. The top white part is easier to make. PVA glue is poured into a bowl. A sodium tetraborate solution is gradually added to it until the required consistency is obtained. The mixture is constantly stirred.
2. After that, both parts are placed in a plastic container or glass jar.
3. First place a colored slime, then a white one. It is necessary to make the slime evenly spread over the container.
4. The container must be tightly closed and left for 24 hours. The upper part will begin to flow down smoothly, making the slime look like a snow-covered slide.
5. If desired, the toy is additionally decorated. For this, you can use glitter or decorative powder.

With cleansing gel

Due to the soap gel and more PVA glue, the white base of the slime turns out to be more voluminous. When the toy is ready, the colored part will not clearly show through the denser top layer. And immediately after opening the container, the slime looks like mountain peaks covered with snow.

Ingredients for Alpine Slime

• 100 ml PVA glue,
• 60 ml of stationery glue,
• 1 tbsp. l. gel for washing,
• 1 tsp water,
• 1 drop of paint in two colors,
• a few drops of sodium tetraborate.

1. In the container, you need to combine PVA glue and water.
2. Immediately add a cleansing gel to them.
3. After combining the components, the mass is thickened with sodium tetraborate and kneaded with a spatula.

What is Mountain Slime?

White layer

1. Pour PVA glue into a deep dish.

There is no need to add dye to this mass, it will be white "snow" on the top of the mountain.

How to blend slime layers correctly?

Before you make a mountain slime from a white and transparent layer, you need to prepare a special container in which you will mix them. A small jar with a tight-fitting screw cap will work.

Put the transparent slime first on the bottom. It should take up most of the jar - about 3/4. Lay a white layer on top of the transparent slime so as to completely cover the colored transparent layer. Distribute the layers evenly over the jar.

Close the jar tightly with a lid and leave the slime alone for a few days. The thicker and denser the slimes are, the longer it will take for them to seep into each other.

What is it, what does it look like?

Mountain slime is like a landscape with hills covered with snow. The toy has two bases and at least two colors.

One of them is light or completely white. The upper part of the slime crawls unevenly onto the lower layer, and it also sticks out a little through the upper one. The colors gradually transition from one to the other, which looks attractive and rather unusual.

This effect is achieved due to the different consistencies of the two bases. A denser layer is made from PVA glue. The flowable mass is made from silicate or clerical glue with the addition of the required dye. It also usually contains a thickener and water. With soda solution

A solution of soda for this toy is prepared from 100 ml of warm water and 1 tsp. powder. Shake it before adding it to the glue.

• 2-3 drops of paint with sparkles of three colors,
• 1.5 tsp lens fluids,
• 3 tsp baking soda solution.

How to cook with your own hands

1. The glue must be poured equally into three containers.

4. And immediately a soda solution is poured into each dish with the main ingredient.

With soda and Levomycetin

Both bases of mountain slime have to be kneaded for a long time, since the activator used in the recipe does not work immediately. It can be replaced with another thickener. But it is soda with Levomycetin that allows you to achieve a delicate flowing texture of the base and beautiful transitions from one color to another.

What to make mountain slime

• 1-2 tbsp. l. water,
• 65 ml + 2 tbsp. l. stationery glue,
• 3 tbsp. l. PVA glue,
• 2 pinches of baking soda
• 1-2 tsp drops of Levomycetin,
• 0.5 tsp glycerin,
• 1 tsp nourishing cream,
• 1 drop of paints of different colors.

Cooking method

1. Pour water and most of the office glue into a bowl.
2. Pour half of the soda into the components and slowly stir the liquid.
3. Levomycetin is added to the transparent base.
4. Next, you need to stir the mass before curdling.
5. For the elasticity of the slime, glycerin is added to this base.
6. Now it is stirred with hands until cooked and left alone for a while.
7. In another dish, PVA glue and the remaining stationery are connected, helping with a spoon.
8. The cream is added to the liquid, and the mixture is still mixed.
9. Pour the second half of the baking soda.
10. After its dissolution, Levomycetin is poured in.

12. The first base is divided into pieces, painted with different pigments.
13. First, the colored parts of the slime are placed in a container with a lid.
14. Place a white slime on top and cover the dishes for 1 day.

Storage and use at home

Such a slime has its pros and cons: a beautiful appearance, pleasant to the touch while playing, does not stick to clothes, but its service life is slightly less than that of others. After several applications, it will no longer be the desired shape, the colors will blend completely and will not resemble mountains. If the slime breaks, then it will be impossible to restore its previous appearance, therefore, such things most often simply lie in the container and delight the eye.

In creating a slime, a child will need the help of an adult, but even in this case, the first time it may not work. The toy will interest not only a child, but also an adult.

Like any other slime, mountain slime must be stored in the right conditions: it should not be in the sun or frost. With prolonged use, the slime will lose its shape. Antistress should not be left on carpet, couch or clothing as it will it can leave traces. Once a week, the slime must be soaked in water or a pinch of salt added to it.

Cooking method

1. The stick of glue stick must be crushed and folded into a heat-resistant cup.

How to make star slime

1. The main ingredient must be sent to a deep bowl.
2. Add office glue immediately and mix the components.
3. The next step is to use an activator.
4. Now the mass is kneaded with a spoon, adding another tetraborate solution if necessary.
5. When it curls up, a water-soda mixture is poured into it.
6. The composition is stirred well again.
7. The slime is left in an open container for several hours, after which it is removed from the resulting liquid.

Recipe

Let's proceed directly to the process of preparing our mountain slime. Let's start at the bottom. Take a deep bowl and pour a few bubbles of silicate glue into it. Add about 140-150 milliliters of room temperature water. If desired, we can add dye or water-based paints. We add gradually, stirring constantly, achieving uniformity and the shade we need. Then we add a solution of sodium tetraborate to our composition, actively stirring the mass. Our task is to achieve density so that the slime becomes dense and elastic and does not stick to the sides of the bowl.

Now let's start creating the top white part of our future mountain slime. We make it like a regular classic slime. Pour PVA glue into a plate. While stirring, gradually add sodium tetraborate diluted in water. We achieve a thick slime consistency.

When both parts are ready, take a transparent plastic container or glass jar and place the lower part of our slime in it. We ensure that the substance spreads evenly over the container. Then we put on top of it a second, white slime made of PVA glue. We leave the resulting slime for a day in a closed container. The upper part will gradually flow down, mixing with the lower, and the slime will look like a snow slide.
