There are old wooden stairs, perhaps, in every house. They have long been replaced by lightweight metal ladders, which are more convenient to use. But this does not mean that the old ladder can go to a landfill. We offer you several options for how you can breathe new life into this extraordinary object.
Blanket holder
In the gazebo, where it is so pleasant to sit on summer evenings, it can be cool at night or in windy cloudy weather. Blankets will help to keep warm. It is inconvenient to put them in a pile, and such a design looks cumbersome. An old ladder will be an excellent holder that will help you to compactly hang soft blankets on your rungs.
Coffee table
An old wooden step-ladder, which is no longer able to serve you for its intended purpose, can easily be placed near the sofa and become an original coffee table. The height of the staircase can be removed at will, and it itself can be painted in the desired color to match the style of the interior.
Flower stand
An old, obsolete staircase can become the central composition of a room if you turn it into a colorful plant stand. All you need is a jar of bright paint and a small skin. Add wood planks (you can take sheets of plywood and cut to size) and secure them with wood glue or screws. The main thing is to correctly calculate the load force.
Bookshelf
Do you have more books than shelves in your home? No problem. Instead of bulky cabinets, we suggest creating a neat decorative shelf using an old staircase. If the staircase is too massive, then you can cut it in half and make the corner shelf.
