White lilac

Everyone has heard more than once the hit song of the 80s of the last century, which was performed by Evgeny Martynov, "White Lilac". Beautiful music, beautiful words ... But the white lilac itself, of course, is the embodiment of late spring, filled with the aromas of this wonderful plant.

Lilac is perhaps the most common ornamental shrub in the nature of the northern part of our country. And a beautiful fairy tale is composed about the appearance of lilacs. Spring came to Earth, raised the sun high into the sky, so that it would warm all life on earth. The snow was melting, rising into the sky in light clouds. The sun's rays befriended the water droplets in the clouds to create a bright rainbow. Spring took the most elegant, brightest colors of the rainbow, mixed them with the sun's rays, and beautiful flowers appeared on earth - red, yellow, orange, blue. Spring reached the northern land, but she only had white and purple paint. Spring mixed these colors and threw them on the ground. So lilac bushes of amazing beauty appeared in the northern latitudes. And the color of these ornamental shrubs ranges from snow-white to deep purple, crumbling into a huge number of shades of lilac.

Lilac has been known as a cultivated plant since the middle of the 18th century. Over the years, new varieties of common lilac have been obtained. Today there are more than a thousand varieties of this ornamental shrub.

Each lilac variety is amazingly beautiful! And what about the scent of lilac flowers! Poets, musicians, artists have dedicated many creative works to lilacs. White lilac is the most "revered" variety of this shrub.
