How to care for roses at home
Many are interested in the question of how to care for roses at home and is it possible at all for them to grow well at home. Of course yes. Most suitable for this are hybrid tea, Pernetsian and polyanthus roses. Indoor roses will be almost like garden roses, but smaller in size. But they will delight you even more: after all, they will always be with you, enveloping your home with a pleasant aroma. So how to care for roses at home so that they delight you with their flowers from early spring to late summer?
Temperature
During the growth period, roses will need a temperature of 14-20 degrees. But from October to February, they should be kept cool: the most suitable temperature is 5-8 degrees.
Lighting
Roses are light-loving plants, therefore, as with many other flowers, a sunny windowsill will be the best place for their location. And when the daylight hours are still short, but the roses have already entered the growing period, then for proper care it is necessary to take care of lighting with fluorescent lamps.
Watering and humidity
Roses love abundant watering, with warm water, and it must be carried out as the earth dries up, but only during the period of growth and flowering. During the "sleeping" period, 2-3 times a month will be enough. As for the humidity of the air, it must be really humid, for which the roses need to be sprayed frequently - twice a day.
Rest care
Roses will appreciate the fresh air, so take them out to the balcony in summer. In addition, they need nutritious soil, for which, during the active period, it needs to be fertilized once a week, and also loosened. Before wintering, roses should be cut, leaving 5 buds on each branch. But you do not need to remove the leaves. It is better to crop in accordance with the lunar calendar: during the time when the moon is in the growth phase. If necessary, if the pot has become small for a rose, it is transplanted into a more spacious one. This is done carefully, without disturbing the roots, without destroying a clod of earth.
I had a room rose, but it died. I was leaving for a week, and the neighbor who looked after the apartment forgot to water it. So my rose has completely dried up .. Without a week of moisture, alas, it did not survive. Other plants (orchid, aloe, ficus, bamboo) fortunately survived this period normally.
I had one home rose (rooted a stalk). But still, it is a very whimsical and tempting flower for pests. The scabbard constantly hit the rose.
