Domestic raspberry planting care. Fundamental rules

The area where raspberries are supposed to be planted should be moderately humid, well protected from the wind, fully illuminated by sunlight. Of all the berries, raspberries are among the most demanding in relation to the soil. Loamy or sandy loamy ones with a permeable subsoil layer are best suited.

It is known that raspberry planting care is a very complex and meticulous process. Saplings must be planted either in early spring, even before the buds bloom, or in late autumn, after the foliage has fallen off. Experienced gardeners recommend late autumn plantings. But when the snow lags, the seedlings will freeze. Therefore, they must be well developed and have fibrous roots.

The main rule for caring for raspberries is the maximum moisture retention and cyclic watering. The soil nutrients needed by raspberries are retained by regular weeding and weeding.

Also, with such a process as raspberry planting care, it is important to know that this berry is very fond of lighting. Therefore, areas for planting raspberries should have a slope of no more than three degrees. Before planting, the soil must be fertilized with mineral and organic substances. The distance between the rows should be 1.3 m, between the bushes, respectively, 0.5 m. The roots of the raspberry should be vertical. Watering is necessary at the rate of one bucket per 3 bushes. Raspberry bushes are able to bear fruit well for 12 years. After that, the soil is fertilized with humus.
