Raspberry brilliant - delicious berries until frost
High-yielding and tasty, brilliant raspberry belongs to the remontant varieties. The variety was bred by the breeder I.V. Kazakov. The first harvest of berries from plants of this variety is harvested in the 30s of June, the second - from the second half of August until the onset of severe frosts. Berries of brilliant raspberry are sweet and sour in taste, aromatic, shiny, their weight is within 7-10 grams. The total yield from one raspberry bush can reach 4 kg per season. Raspberry diamond grows in a beautiful luxurious bush, reaching a height of one and a half meters, has strongly branching, straight shoots without thorns. With good and proper care, raspberries yield stable, year after year.
This is not to say that caring for remontant varieties of raspberries is too difficult, but some features should still be taken into account. If ordinary raspberries bear fruit on last year's shoots, then remontant - on shoots formed in the current year. Knowing this, some gardeners are trying to grow remontant raspberries in the same way as ordinary ones, wanting to get summer and autumn harvests from the bushes. As a rule, this becomes the cause of disappointment - the yield from the bush in this case falls.
Failure to comply with agricultural techniques, cultivation of plants with a wide continuous ribbon, which leads to the loss of the best qualities of remontant varieties of raspberries, also adversely affects the harvest.
To obtain maximum yield, plants should be planted at a distance of about 70 cm. When pruning raspberries, do not leave more than four shoots per bush to bear fruit. You should also carefully monitor the appearance of offspring and remove them. By planting offspring in pots with nutritious soil, you can quickly get new strong bushes for further cultivation of the variety.
