How eggplants and peppers are fed
What can the wrong feeding of eggplants lead to? At its worst, there may be no harvest. There is also a danger of growing vegetables with toxic substances.
What is eggplant feeding
Eggplant is an annual plant, vegetable. It belongs to the nightshade family. Its cultivation is carried out according to certain rules.
This plant has a close relative, which is no less famous. This is a tomato. Now eggplant has become one of the main vegetable crops in Central Asia, as well as in the Caucasus. It is very common in Ukraine as well.
Eggplant is prized for being rich in vitamins. It contains a great variety of minerals that are easily assimilated and necessary for the body. The eggplant mineral diploma includes the most important components:
- sodium,
- calcium,
- phosphorus,
- antioxidants
and so on. With proper care, the product will be as useful as possible.
Preparing the garden - planting eggplants in the garden
It is recommended to pick up a section of fertile soil protected from the winds, sufficiently sunny, free from weeds for eggplants. Land that has already grown nutritious crops, including legumes or root vegetables, and cucumbers, will work. The land is not very suitable after growing peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, tobacco. It must always be remembered that crops on the site are grown taking into account alternation.
You need to take care of good drainage. Moisture should hold well.
If you have to work with loamy soil, it is recommended to add a bucket of rotted sawdust, two buckets of peat, and also a bucket of rotted manure per square meter. If a sufficiently dense clay soil predominates, the same composition will do, you can add a bucket of semi-rotten sawdust and a bucket of coarse-grained sand.
For a sandy type of soil, add two buckets of third-party clay soil, as well as components such as humus and peat, add a bucket of sawdust.
For a peat type of soil, add a bucket of standard sod soil per meter, as well as the same amount of humus.
Additionally, add for each meter:
- China. spoon of urea.
- Table. lies. potassium sulfate.
- Table. lies. superphosphate.
- Stack. wood ash.
Fresh manure is not recommended. In this case, there will be a strong leaf mass, and the plant will not have enough strength to form fruits.
The soil will have to be dug up by about 30 centimeters. A deep bed, high, 25 - 30 centimeters up, is better. No need to make a large width, no more than a meter. The length is arbitrary.
When the digging is completed, it is necessary to give the surface an even appearance. Then the soil is watered with a suitable solution. For example, like this:

- "Effekton" (10 liters of water for 2 tablespoons), the same calculation.
- Hot view of mullein solution (temperature 80 - 90 degrees), for the preparation of a working solution. For 10 liters of water, add 0.5 liters of a mushy mullein.

We feed eggplants correctly
It is believed that eggplant needs the same feeding as pepper. When flowering, the following combination is needed:
100 liter. dilute half a liter of Effekton liquid fertilizer in a barrel, mix and pour out 1 liter each. for each plant.
It is necessary to prepare a liquid manure - herbal dressing.Finely chopped nettle, plantain leaves, dandelion leaves, mother and stepmothers are poured into a 100 liter barrel by volume - a total of 5 - 6 kilograms of mass. Now you need to add ten table. lies. ash, bucket of mullein. Pour everything to the top with water, mix thoroughly. After a week, the liquid fertilizer is ready. Watering - a liter per plant.
Feeding eggplants in the open field during fruiting
You can prepare different formulations. Here are a couple of them:
Pour a bucket of poultry droppings in a mushy state into a one-liter barrel by volume, add two glasses of nitrophoska, add all this with water, mix thoroughly. After 5 days, the solution is ready. Stir the solution before feeding. Watering is carried out at the rate of 1.5 - 2 liters per plant.
Ten tables are placed in a one-liter barrel by volume. lies. liquid "Agricola - Vegeta", mix everything thoroughly, pour the eggplant solution over 1 liter for each plant.
Two weeks later, more feeding will be needed. Several formulations are also suitable for her, one of which is based on "Effekton". It needs half a liter per barrel of water. You need to water one plant with 5 liters. Feeding based on urea and poultry droppings is also suitable. The mixture is poured with plain water, about 5 liters. per sq.m. Then the feeding of eggplants will be competent and will give appropriate fruits.
