Golden clover is an amazing plant

Seeing the beauty of the bright yellow small flowers that can be found everywhere, people will not think that these are representatives of a separate genus Chrysaspis. Unlike the usual color (pink, white), which is characteristic of clover, there is a unique species, which is characterized by a golden color of flowers. Botanists have named this flower Trifolium aureum or Golden Clover.

Features of the plant:

  • The main place of growth is meadows, fields
  • It is a flowering plant that blooms all summer and lives for one to two years.
  • Leaves and inflorescences are similar in shape to other types of clovers (field, mountain, medium, hybrid)
  • It stands out only for its uncharacteristic bright golden color
  • Like numerous species of meadow flowers, Trifolium aureum is eaten by cloven-hoofed animals, therefore it can be used as food for sheep.
  • The main property of golden clover, which distinguishes it from other plant species, is the ability to provide a tonic and sedative effect in the event of dizziness and fainting. Due to the presence of certain elements, this type of clover is highly valued in folk medicine.

The flower is propagated by seeds. Certain care is not required during cultivation. Most of it can grow, which is occupied by the territory of Europe. Golden clover may not enjoy such a "celebrity" as its relatives, because of its confusion with alfalfa, which has similar yellow inflorescences, but is of interest in animal husbandry as a forage crop. There are some countries in Europe where golden clover is a rare species that is protected.
