Pine nuts. Photo and description
There are dozens of varieties of nuts in the world. All of them differ in their place of growth, appearance, taste and useful properties. The main thing that unites them is nutrition. Nuts are high in calories and have many different substances needed by the human body. This is a good snack alternative instead of the traditional sandwich.
Pine nuts, unlike many other types, are not, in fact, nuts. These are the seeds of the Siberian cedar, which are extracted from cones. They are useful primarily for those who lack B vitamins.
Improved blood composition, normalization of the nervous system, growth and development of the body, stable lactation in nursing mothers - all this can be provided by pine nuts. A photo of this food product will help you recognize it on store shelves.
It is a valuable source of lecithin and iodine, vitamins and amino acids. Easily digestible food that helps to avoid immunodeficiency conditions, atherosclerosis, allergic diseases and many other pathological processes.
To grow a Siberian cedar at home, you need seeds specially selected for this. After all, those that go to food are collected too early and are treated with boiling water. In addition, the cedar needs light shade and moisture. In a drought, be sure to spray it regularly.
At first, this tree grows slowly and requires constant care for up to 10 years. Fresh seedlings must be protected from crows and magpies by making protective fences. Some gardeners sprout cedar in the refrigerator, moistening crops regularly.
Several times I tried to grow cedar in our region, nuts were brought to me from Siberia, right with cones. There were no problems with germination, but in the summer the plant turned yellow and died, it was too hot, even in the shade.
