Terry freesia - garden decoration all year round
Many flowers sink into the soul after being seen in bouquets or flower arrangements, while others attract attention with their delicate and extremely beautiful flowers right on the plant. Terry freesia is remarkable for both, because most often the first acquaintance with it occurs precisely in bouquets, and then the growers decide to grow it on their backyard plots.
Terry freesia looks just gorgeous. The branch of the plant is simply strewn with flowers, and the stem itself is located above the leaves, which also look very sophisticated.
Caring for freesia is not easy enough, but with proper care, the plant can delight with its flowering all year round. The best places to plant freesia are places where summers are dry but not hot and winters are wet and cool but not too frosty. When growing freesia, the winter temperature should not drop below -6 degrees. The optimal temperature regime for freesia is + 15-21 during the day, + 10-15 degrees at night. In the hot summer, freesias will be dormant.
Growing freesia requires good sunlight and moderate watering, especially during flowering. Freesia is easy enough to cover with water. To avoid overflow, you should choose a suitable soil for this plant - sandy soil with good drainage. During the period of active growth and during flowering, the plant must be fed with mineral and organic fertilizers.
Freesia will become an adornment for any garden, because many plants can envy the brilliance of its flowers, but in the cut state, the flower is stored for no more than a week.
