Ivy (Hedera)
Ivy, whose Latin name sounds like "hedera", is one of the most popular indoor plants. Popularly, this plant is also often called loach. Ivy (heder) got this name due to its ability to curl around the support. This same ability of his has ensured him immense popularity among designers and interior decorators, since ivy is very often used to decorate walls, ceilings, and even to create whole flower arrangements.
Ivy (hedera) can be called a rather unpretentious plant that easily takes root in a variety of apartments. The optimum temperature for this plant is considered to be in the range from +17 to +23 degrees, but ivy normally tolerates heat, but only if it is frequently watered. When breeding ivy, it should be remembered that in the summer the soil in its pot must be constantly moist. Although the stagnation of water in the pot, of course, will not benefit the plant either. In winter, watering can be slightly reduced, but too much drying out of the earth should not be allowed.
Since ivy (heder) came to us from a humid subtropical climate, it naturally loves moisture, so the plant must be sprayed regularly, and it is also advisable to periodically arrange a warm shower for it.
Ivy (heder) grows quite quickly, and the direction of its growth can be easily regulated with the help of a support, which can be a fishing line, thread or stick. Thus, even entire compositions can be created.
It should be remembered that the plant feels great in a well-lit bathroom, hallway or living room, but the kitchen is contraindicated for it, since ivy (heder) does not tolerate gas.
