Change of oil
Consider the procedure and features of oil change in cultivators. Regardless of the engine type, it is not recommended to use separate lubricant additives, which are widely available on the market. This can reduce the performance of the formulation.
The waste product should be disposed of with the least possible damage to the environment. The optimal solution is to take the old oil to a recycling center.
In the engine
The first oil change in the cultivator engine is carried out after running-in. This is the name of the process of grinding in the moving parts of the apparatus, during which small metal particles get into the lubricant. The running-in time depends on the specific cultivator brand. Subsequent replacements should be carried out in accordance with the maintenance schedule of the user manual, but at least once a year.
The process of replacing the lubricant in the cultivator engine is quite simple:
- The cultivator must be installed on a horizontal plane and muffled;
- We are waiting for 5-10 minutes for the oil to completely flow into the engine sump;
- We unscrew the crankcase plug, drain the oil into a previously prepared container;
- Fill in new lubricant. We check the level with a dipstick, and if it is absent, fill in oil up to the control hole.
Important information! When planning the frequency of maintenance, it is necessary to take into account the intensity of the load. If the grease has darkened to the color of fuel oil, it should be urgently replaced.
In the gearbox
The gearbox oil should also be changed in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
The order of work is as follows:
- Place the cultivator on stands and muffle it;
- Find and screw the drain plug;
- To avoid environmental pollution, the lubricant must be drained into a previously prepared container of a suitable volume;
- We are waiting for the oil to completely drain out of the drain hole. Since transmission lubricants are highly viscous, you will have to wait 5-10 minutes, depending on the outside temperature;
- We tighten the drain plug tightly;
- Unscrew the filler plug;
- Fill in fresh lubricant with a funnel.
The level is checked using a dipstick or a control hole, depending on the design of the cultivator gearbox.
Please note that most modern models are supplied with a dry gearbox, which must be filled with oil after purchase.
Oil change in the walk-behind tractor
After about 100 hours of using the engine, it is necessary to change the oil in the walk-behind tractor, sometimes this procedure must be done after 50 hours. It is necessary to use only the form that meets all the requirements and conditions of use. So what kind of oil to pour into the walk-behind tractor?
The oil change procedure consists of several operations:
it is necessary to install the walk-behind tractor horizontally;
using a strong screwdriver, remove the plug on the drain tank;
drain the contents into a previously prepared container (the volume must be at least 2 liters), the duration of the whole process will take about 20 minutes;
screw back the drain tank cap;
pour the required amount of oil for motoblocks into the gearbox, then close the hole
Be careful when filling with oil so that it does not drip down the walls.
The most suitable oil for use is 10w30. A 4-stroke oil for a walk-behind tractor will come in handy, and thanks to its anti-corrosion properties, the engine will last an order of magnitude longer.In combination with special additives, the effect of work is enhanced.
Sometimes users buy walk-behind tractors without lubricants, in this case they will need to be filled with fresh ones before they can be used. In order not to be mistaken in the choice, you need to use high-quality, reliable and suitable oil for the walk-behind tractor
Particular attention should be paid to the viscosity (the indicator is indicated on the label). According to this criterion, the best option would be oil labeled SAI, API
But first, you need to carefully read the manual, which will clearly indicate the recommended lubricant variation.
The oil for the gearbox of the walk-behind tractor is different, and its quality almost always depends on the cost. But in any case, its high cost will pay off, because engine repairs will cost a pretty penny, and even become a big nuisance.
It is important to use, if possible, oil from well-known manufacturers, their high-quality lubrication will protect the gearbox of the walk-behind tractor. The main thing in this matter is not to fall for a fake.
When choosing an oil, pay attention to its properties, as well as what season it is intended for.

Lifan company
1992 is considered to be the date of foundation of the company. From that moment to this day, the company has experienced many difficulties associated with the period of formation, which allowed it to gain the necessary experience. At the moment, Lifan is considered one of the leading companies in China in this market segment.
The main specialization of the company is the production of passenger cars under the trademark of the same name. In addition, the organization's specialists are engaged in the manufacture of motorcycles, scooters, buses, etc.
Lifan company
In 2006, the company enters the world market, presenting its first sedan Lifan 520. Later, in 2008, another premiere took place - this time, the corporation releases the second representative of this model range, i.e. Lifan 620.
In the same 2008, a partnership agreement was concluded with American colleagues from AIG, Inc. The result of this cooperation was the emergence of a joint venture for production.
Since 2010, Lifan Motors is considered the only private car manufacturing company in China. In general, the export share of cars of this brand is 11.38%, which is the second result in the country.
The broad pace of development has allowed us to significantly increase its representation around the world. In particular, over 165 factories were opened in America, Africa, Europe and Southeast Asia. After receiving the appropriate certificate, Lifan cars began to be widely distributed in the countries of the European Union.
