Comparison with other brands
Here are the brief characteristics of these series of motoblocks. On the Internet, you can find a variety of opinions and real reviews of colleague owners.
Salute and Neva
When compared with other models, undoubtedly, the Salute walk-behind tractor is popular along with the well-known Neva. During the development, the Moscow designers abandoned the blind copying of the St. Petersburg Neva and created a more advanced design.
Features of brands:
- The fireworks are much more stable. Its control levers are narrowed and rotated 180 °. The weight is significantly reduced, and when performing heavy work, the mass of Salut, on the contrary, is increased by weighting materials.
- Salute has two drive belts, three power take-off pulleys (one near the Neva). The chain drive of the reducer is replaced with a more reliable gear. Changing the speed ranges is carried out not only by changing the stream, as on the Neva, but also by removing the power take-off shaft and reinstalling it according to the instructions. The choice is unambiguous - in favor of Salut.
Salute and MTZ
Compared to "Salutes", Belarusian MTZ walk-behind tractors are heavy machines. The owners unanimously note their reliability, good build quality, durability.
Features of brands:
- The powerful MTZ 9N walk-behind tractor provides a processing width of only 330-610 mm at a depth of 200 mm. For motoblocks Salyut, the processing width is adjustable 350 mm, 600 mm, 800 mm, but at the same time the weight of MTZ is almost 2 times greater than the weight of Salyut.
- The MTZ-0.5 is equipped with an engine similar to the MEMZ-966 model, as in the Zaporozhets car, which is distinguished by a heavy start. The gas regulator is located inconveniently for the operator, the walk-behind tractor has no balance, although it becomes more stable with a trailer cart.
- At Salut 100, the speed switch has been moved to the steering wheel, the clutch handle has a special lock, the steering wheel is very conveniently adjustable in all directions.
- The owners of MTZ note the difficulties that arise when setting up attachments. The high cost and low level of service of old MTZ models is another significant drawback.
For work on medium and small areas, it is more expedient to use Salutes, and MTZ - on large areas of more than 1 hectare.
Attachments
Motoblocks Agat are adapted to work practically with all types and varieties of attachments, which are produced today in Russia and abroad. The power take-off shaft can be used to significantly expand the functionality of the machine.
Most often, such attachments for a walk-behind tractor are used:
- Plow. As a rule, most models are equipped with plows. The weight and size of these products varies significantly depending on the characteristics of the agricultural work performed. Using a plow, you can make a furrow with a depth of 20-30 cm. Basically, the plow is used for raising virgin lands or plowing soil in abandoned areas.
- Milling cutter. All small agricultural machinery is equipped with this equipment. loosening the soil to a depth of 20 cm. With their help, the soil is cultivated before planting seeds and tubers to remove the crust on its surface after drying.
- Mower. For work in the field and in the yard, mowers of various types are used. The rotary units are equipped with sturdy knives. They are able to cut not only the stems of the grass, but also the branches of the bush. The equipment is equipped with a device that allows you to lay grass in windrows.Centrifugal mowers (trimmers) are designed to perform delicate work on the cultivation of the local area.
- Dump. It is an analogue of a blade-blade, which is installed on bulldozers and graders. It is used to remove fresh snow with a cover height of up to 30 cm. The blade-blade of the LM 100 model allows you to clear a meter-wide track in one pass. There are modifications with snow throwing in one or two directions. In addition, with the help of the dump, you can level the territory, fill holes and move the soil.
- Snowplow. It is best to purchase a rotary one. The equipment is designed for cleaning paths, areas, areas around the house, garage, along the fence. A tiller equipped with a snowplow is able to cope with old drifts covered with crust. Snow is thrown at a distance of 3-5 meters.
- Rotary brush. It is tough enough to remove ice, caked dirt and mortar residues from hard surfaces. It is used for sweeping paths and areas, removing fresh snow and polishing concrete.
- Accessories for growing potatoes. In the spring, a potato planter is used, which immerses the tubers to a depth of 20 cm.In the fall, a potato digger clings to the unit, which harvests from a depth of 25 cm.
- Hiller. The walk-behind tractor manual recommends using this device to create beds, periodically add soil to them and clear weeds from the garden. Hillers have different designs and can be adjusted to different work parameters.
In addition to attachments for soil cultivation, other devices can be attached to walk-behind tractors. So, with the help of a pump, you can pump large volumes of liquid over impressive distances. A small generator connected to the PTO shaft will supply electricity to a large farm during line breakdowns.
Shovel attachment
A shovel blade is necessary when clearing the area from foliage, construction debris or snow with 20-30 cm snowdrifts. Also, the nozzle is used to level the soil before planting crops. To facilitate the work on the walk-behind tractor, it is recommended to install metal wheels at the same time as the blade, which provide good adhesion to the ground. An adapter is required for fastening, but some Agat models, for example, the L6.5 modification with a Lifan engine, has an adapter in the base for fixing a snow blower, lawn mower or utility brush.
The blade can be made by yourself. To do this, you need a steel barrel with a volume of 200 liters. It is sawn, removing the bottom and rings. The resulting pipe is cut lengthwise into three parts. Using metal cotter pins, the blade is fixed at an angle of 30 degrees. The blade width is usually maintained in front of 900-1000 mm with a metal thickness of 2-3 mm.
Differences Salyut-100 and Salyut 5
Moving production to China, the manufacturer significantly improved the device and modernized the new model of its MB. Let's consider the main points, how the Salyut-5 walk-behind tractors differ from the Salyut-100.
- Apart from the engines, the previous model was manufactured in Russia, and the new one is completely manufactured in China.
- Salyut-5 was usually equipped with two 2-section cutters (4 pcs.), And "Salyut-100" comes with 6 cutters (3 pairs).
- Old Salyut had cutters with straight knives, and "100" has specially designed sickle-shaped knives. Straight cutters "five" enter the ground almost straight, and sickle cutters on the "weave" - at an angle, which affects the uniformity of the distribution of effort to cut the soil and the intensity of its mixing. In addition, the cultivator at Sotk has plant protection discs and protective shields.
- Cultivator knives on Salyut-5 were made from a bent steel strip "forties"; on Salyut-100, forged spring steel 65G was used. The diameter of the cutters on the new model is slightly increased.
- On the updated model, the oil level in the gearbox can be checked with a special dipstick (for this, the oil filler hole was slightly moved), on the old model it was impossible - it was possible to see the volume only after draining the lubricant during replacement.
- Salyut-100 has undergone significant design changes compared to its predecessor. New engines with an updated design began to be installed, as well as plastic covers for the transmission belts and the PTO pulley. In addition to their appearance, they better protect against dust and dirt than on the Soviet model.
- Plastic shields were added to the steering wheel of the Salyut-100 walk-behind tractor: on the cross member with the gear lever and on the steering column height adjustment unit.
- On the Salyut-5 walk-behind tractor, the gearshift knob was on the gearbox, and on the Salyut-100 it was transferred to the steering wheel. This innovation on the new model makes it easier to operate the machine, especially when the operator cannot bend down to change speed.
- Since the clutch handle directly affects the movement of the walk-behind tractor, on the new model it was moved from the left handlebar handle to the right one. In addition to changing the location of the clutch lever on the Salyut-100 walk-behind tractor, it requires less effort to keep it pressed, which affects the convenience during prolonged work.
- In Salyut-5, an engine switch was installed in the throttle lever. At "100" it is on the engine.
- The height of the rudder on Salyut 5 was adjusted using wrenches, on Salyut-100 this is done with a lever-crank on a fixing nut.
- Less obvious differences on the Salyut-100: a more ergonomic starter handle, a modified shape of the rings on the fingers for attaching the opener or hitch brackets, a modernized look of small mounts.
